Deaf Outreach Texas
Mission Statement
The World's deaf population, many millions strong, comprises one of the largest unreached people group, with 98% of them have no knowledge of Jesus or His Gospel. The number of unreached Deaf in Texas is approximately 345,000. Since they tend to disappear into the general population, they need to be identified.
Deaf ministry is important because:
Everyone needs Jesus. Deaf people need to know God’s love and Word too.
Communication matters. Many deaf people miss church messages if no one signs. Deaf ministry uses sign language so all can understand.
Belonging. It helps deaf people feel welcome and part of the church family.
Leadership. It helps deaf people grow in faith and serve others.
Connection. Hearing people also learn to sign and build friendship with the deaf community.
We are Deaf Ministry.
We serve Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and people with cochlear implants and hearing aids
We use American Sign Language (ASL).
We teach the Bible with pictures, stories, and PowerPoint.
We help people grow with God physically and spiritually.
We have Deaf events. These events help with fellowship and outreach. We meet together, we build friendships, and
We share God’s love.
💜 In short: Deaf ministry shows that God’s Word is for everyone — Deaf and hearing alike.
